Measure overall length
Overall length is one of the most important details for a flexible metal hose assembly. Measure from the correct end reference points based on the fitting type.
- End-to-end for threaded fittings
- Face-to-face for flanged assemblies when applicable
- Confirm replacement assembly dimensions
Identify each end connection
Document the connection on both ends of the assembly. The two ends may be the same or different.
- Male NPT
- Female threaded union
- 150# RF flange
- Custom combinations
Confirm size and material
Record line size, fitting material, and any system requirements such as pressure, temperature, or compliance needs.
